This month we brought Mares' New X-Stream fins into the shop. These fins have completely new lightweight design and are great for travel. They feature a new portal foot pocket that eliminates the parachute effect that divers experienced with solid foot pockets. The X-Stream fins also have a new optimized pivoting blade to help minimize fatigue, allow for optimal thrust with every fin kick, and produce maximum movement throught the water. Sealife DC1200 Digital Underwater Camera

SeaLife’s new 12-megapixel camera combines diver-friendly design and four underwater color modes, for sharp, colorful pictures underwater or on land.   SeaLife eliminated the typical button cluster on the back of the camera, in favor of five thumb operated “piano key” controls. The large shutter button extends forward with a fingertip-control lever that allows scrolling through menus or zooming in and out without releasing your grip from the camera. This “Central Command Lever” and the “Piano Keys” are making great underwater pictures and videos easier than ever before. Easily expand the camera with one or two SeaLife external flash accessories. Quick shutter response for fast action photography. Automatic focus from 2" to infinity.  Zeagle Zeus BCD new for 2009

The Zeus incorporates a unique streamline zipper front panel for easy donning. The front panel has multiple D-rings for mounting accessories or other gear for easy access. The standard bladder is a compact 24-pound lift, ideal for travel. The 20-pound capacity Zip-Touch weight system has double locking hook and loop with Zeagle’s easy grip release handle. Weights are easily added or removed through the large zipper opening. The unique front panel and vest design of this BC allows you to travel light and pack up small. A larger bladder, an additional rear weight system, and a generous size utility pocket are among the optional accessories available.

The Zeagle Ranger LTD has been redesigned for 2009.

The New LTD now comes standard in Smoke Gray, a good looking, rich color that compliments any suit or other gear color combination. The shoulder is designed with the new super duty Airlock buckle that will swivel to adjust the harness to the body’s contour to eliminate binding and restriction of movement at the chest and underarm areas. With the addition of harness type webbing and a new threading arrangement the diver can easily add more D-rings and other accessories conveniently on the shoulder. This feature will now allow the technical and accessory minded diver to further set-up his BC to what he needs for the type of diving he is doing. We have also added a right-hand shoulder dump with a pull knob located conveniently on the inside edge of the right shoulder pad. The dump valve acts also as an additional safety overpressure valve.
